You must set up a new browser and email specifically for Web3 activities.
Why? Because using your personal/work browser/email leaves your personal/work data vulnerable to exposure, fraud and theft. Here is a step by step tutorial on how to set up your new browser and email to surf Web3.
This can be used to sign up for social media platforms (e.g. Twitter and Discord) to engage with Web3 communities.

Any standard email service should be fine (Google, Outlook, etc).

Your new email address should not include your name or numbers that are relevant to you (e.g. your birthday).
Also try to avoid including personal names/numbers in your email’s account details.

Should you need to provide a name for sign up, you can use an alias.
When creating a strong password, avoid using whole words/names, or numbers that are relevant to you. Words, names, and birthdays are generally easy to hack.
We recommend using an online password generator that includes symbols.
Do not save your passwords anywhere on your computer - write it down on a piece of paper to store safely, or store it in an online password vault such as 1Password.
You may be asked to provide a mobile number to complete the email account setup. This shouldn't cause any trouble - go ahead! Once you’re set up with a new email address and browser separate from your personal/work accounts, you’re ready to begin exploring Web3.
As an optional step, you may even consider using a VPN for added security.
