Step 3: Purchase ETH (Binance)

1. Get started with MetaMask

Now that you have your wallet set up, let’s navigate through it together.

On the left tab, you can find your assets. On the right, you can view your transaction history. If you hit the “Portfolio site” link in the center, you’ll be taken to the expanded, more detailed version of the dApp.

2. Create a Binance account

Sign up to a Personal Account and Binance and complete the identity verification process in order to access P2P trading feature.

2. Purchase Ethereum

Select Buy and choose Ethereum (ETH) on the next screen.

Enter the value of fiat or ETH that you want to purchase. On the next screen, choose FPS as the payment option.

You will be redirected to the transaction screen. Complete the payment process and wait for your newly acquired crypto to arrive in your Binance wallet.

4. Withdraw ETH to MetaMask

Since your MetaMask wallet is the wallet that you'll use to interface with Web3 transactions, you should deposit some ETH into it. You can transfer your ETH from Binance to MetaMask using the "Withdraw" feature.

The screen below is the most important step when withdrawing your crypto out of Binance.

  1. For Address, enter your MetaMask wallet address. Please make sure that the wallet address is correct. Funds that are sent to the wrong wallet address can't be recovered.

  2. For Network, make sure you select "Ethereum (ERC20)". Funds that are sent via the wrong network will be difficult to retrieve.

  3. For Amount, if this is your first time sending, start with a minimal amount to make sure that everything is working well.

Enter the security codes sent to your registered email address and phone number then click Submit.

Your ETH should arrive to your MetaMask wallet in a few minutes.
